Spring is right around the corner, we can look forward to warmer days and great cruising opportunities.

Since taking root in Jacksonville PurpleJalopy.com has diversified its services. For example, we now offer our signature custom designs for direct paint application. Utilizing a product called Paint Mask, we are able to create a computerized design and produce each component of the design. This process can reduce the hours that it takes to tape off a car for painting. Additionally, we can produce airbrush accented graphic film projects, and digitally printed projects of all sizes including full wraps.

We now have a wide variety of Designed-to-FitTM graphics and striping packages for selected Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Mitsubishi, Pontiac, and Toyota models. There are several Universal graphics designed to fit a variety of body style types. Many of these Universal graphics are digitally printed to give you a unique airbrushed look. Watch for these as we continue to populate our e-catalog.

Another new service provided by PurpleJalopy.com is installation of RAPTOR Spray-in Bed Liners. This product is also great for wheel wells. It's the perfect way to keep those wheel wells looking new.

The Extreme Interior line has been enhanced by the addition of custom Katzkin Leather Interiors. PurpleJalopy.com can now help you design your new interior and work with you on a unique design for the logo panel or headrests. For those of you who have been contemplating having design work done, now is a very good time. The closer we get to Spring the busier we become. Historically, the Spring influx in requests increases the length of time from "concept request" to installation. Learn how to start the design process below.

Visit the Step by Step Custom Design Center to give us the details of your design request. This set of pages will provide you will information on how our design process works. Then send us a Concept Design Request Form with the details of your request.

If you have an image or a sketch of your idea we can direct you to our web drop box, or make arrangements for you to mail it to us. If you don't feel technology friendly send us an e-mail to sales@purplejalopy.com and we can discuss your idea.

All designs will be available for approval within the Concept Gallery, located in our Gallery.

Show Presentation Changes
As in pervious years, PurpleJalopy.com plans to attend a handful of car shows but, the way we do business has changed. Because much of our work is now Digital Print and can not be produced at an event, as well as, for the reasons described below, we no longer produce graphics at events. Our new presentation at events is one of demonstration, design, and pre-order installation. One big benefit to our customers will be that pre-ordered projects will typically be installed prior to the judged event.  In the past most of our time at shows was taken up by design and we were not always able to install those designs prior to judging.  We will have graphic products available for sale at the events as well as several new, non-graphic, product lines that will be presented at upcoming events.

For folks that have a design in mind and would like us to do the install, we recommend you act well in advance of an event that we will attend to be sure we can have your graphic ready by that time. You should visit our site and inform us of the concept you would like designed by entering the Step-by-Step section. This set of pages will provide you with information on how to get a custom project started.  

As we install pre-ordered projects we will be teaching anyone who is interested basic installation procedures. We want everyone to realize that they CAN install our Designed-to-Fit graphics.

In the past we had to rush the design process, work well into the night and miss customers all together. This process will give us time to spend with folks wanting a custom design and will make it possible to follow the event from the host hotel to the show grounds and back to the hotel. We believe that although this may be a shock to many who have gotten used to our old methods, everyone will ultimately see this as a benefit.

Ancillary Services Division
Purplejalopy.com, Inc. has put in place a division dedicated to assisting automobile dealerships in the production of ancillary income. This venture will capitalize on the diversity of the Designed-to Fit graphics and striping line of products. "Dealers will have the ability to upsell vehicle purchasers with unique high quality products not previously available to them" , says Jody Painter, CEO, PurpleJalopy.com, inc. What makes Designed-to-Fit and Ancillary Services different from other aftermarket providers is its attention to detail and its ability to release products rapidly as new vehicle models hit the lots. A recent example is the release of a striping package for the new 2008 Ford Taurus just three days after it began hitting Jacksonville Ford dealers' lots.

Most of the products offered through Ancillary Services will appear to be OEM to the Consumer because of its precise detail and expected styling. PurpleJalopy. com has agreed to be included in the Bumper-to-Bumper portion of new vehicle warranties. This eliminates the dealers burden of providing additional warranty statements to the purchasers. What makes this policy even more interesting is that PurpleJalopy.com will honor this warrantee even if the location taking charge of the claim is not directly supported by Ancillary Services.

Ancillary services will support participating Dealerships by providing Point-Of-Purchase items and materials tailored to fit the dealers marketing procedures. Additionally, dealers may opt to have a PurpleJalopy.com Professional Installer install the purchased graphics or striping package.

The business plan includes many of the practices and procedures used in a previously successful venture managed by General Manager and 12-year Aftermarket veteran Mark Painter in Hampton Roads, Virginia. "We believe we understand the basics of what today's car dealer needs from us. We will let each dealer guide us to understand the rest of its needs", says Mark.

One of the most important aspects of this service will be the certification and training of the regional reps/installers. Purplejalopy.com is committed to a very strict standard of excellence that will continue to include Quality Customer Service and precision installation. Only Certified Professional Installers will be allowed to represent PurpleJalopy.com Ancillary Services.

PurpleJalopy.com Ancillary Services has already deployed full services to the Jacksonville/St. Augustine area of Florida with projections indicating movement into Daytona, Orlando and Savanna, Ga. by spring 2008. Areas outside of the reach of PurpleJalopy.com will also have access to Ancillary Services through Ancillary Services independent representatives (ASir). New Manufacturer
PurpleJalopy.com, Inc. has teamed up with Aerofast Industries who will manufacture a number of exciting new products. Aerofast Industries will manufacture for PurpleJalopy.com, Inc. items of great use to anyone "showing" a vehicle. We are not able to offer to much information at this point as there are a few details to workout. We can offer that prototypes have been produced with final adjustments being completed as we speak. look for more information in the coming weeks.

Corporate Relocation
PurpleJalopy.com, Inc. is moving to Jacksonville, Florida. Jacksonville offers a diverse and growing community in an area that allows us to work hands on with a market we have wanted to cultivate for several years. We have begun offering our services to the areas many Vehicle Dealerships. So far the response has been favorable and growth is expected. We expect to start hiring and training reps/installers by summers end.

We are excited to become Jacksonville's hometown graphics provider while continuing to grow our retail internet business by expanding our product line and attending outside events.
